She woke up with a roar this afternoon. The roller setup with the Milodon geardrive was working in perfect harmony.
Open sidepipes is loud.Really loud.Next thing to buy, is baffels from JCL.
It took 20 minutes before a neighbor(sp?) walks down, with a very unhappy look on his face, and said "Shouldn`t there be a muffler on this car".I looked at him and said "No".. :D
Oh well, time to look for a better garage :lolg:
She sounds like a ProMod now..
Yes, Spring is in the air. Birds are chirping, bees beginning to buzzz, and newly freshened engines roar to life again after a long winter of tinkering. Congrats on what sounds like a very potent combination!
Bence>>Its a fairly mild roller..222/234 @ .50 Lift .576/.571.Lobe cent 110.
It is a "torque cam"..But i`m already looking for a new cam.Probably something around .650 lift...Bigblocks like lift
You,I´ll do that, but for now the geardive is drowned by the noise from the Hookers..
I`m planning to design a muffler to my car..Its sounds like a really BIG harley :lolg: :lolg:

By the way...Could someone please messure the inside of the Hooker Sidepipes and give me the numbers...
I made my own "trial `n error mufflers" today by using a thin Aluhose.I drilled a bunch of holes in it and wrapped it in some fireproof material(house insulation).I jammed it in the pipes and all was well, the "slamming",high pitched noise was gone, just a dark rumble.Out on the street to test it.Stomped it in second and it tore the tires from the road, yanked it in to third and stomped it again, more smoke. All of the sudden it sounded like a ProMod again.Turned around and saw my homemade mufflers on each side of the road :lolg: with pieces of isulation material spread all over the road.Man,it must have been a funny sight for the cars behind me, two "torpedos" ejecting from the vette...Wont be trying that again :smash: :smash:

I would have been laughing at that...
You might think about riveting your inserts to keep them from flying. and the best material I can think of would be some very coarse steel wool. the house insulation will probably just burn out real fast, it's not designed to withstand that much heat.
