George's at the Cove is upper-crust local...Del Mar/Solana Beach is upper-crust local. Pacific Beach is just "crust", dude!

Most definitely compared to George's however for Pacific Beach it's above par. As you can see how I'm dressed I'm just out for a cruise/ a few drinks not "dressed to impress" I don't always feel need to spend $50 p/drink to impress people but then again I'm not in Miami.

Don't take it personally...just find it amusing that anything in PB can be considered "upper-crust". PB is where I went out with the guys to "slum" and ogle the young p-stank!
Drinks here aren't $50/ea. (yet), but we do dress a little better...

P.S. - Did you get the number of that "babe" sitting at the bar talking on her cell phone?
That's a killer vette and great pix as usual. Have you ever thought about hauling off to a local Hooters and get some of the chix to adorn it for a really great signature?

upper crust local (local meaning PB) not upper crust San diego. Everything is relative though, upper crust PB doesnt take much, mostly clean bathrooms.
David, never been there myself, I wish it was still the Olde Ox, which was a cool place too.
BTW, should have the vette on the road this weekend. Sidepipes are being welded up. the crossmember is being modified and the driveshaft is being shortened, all should be done today or tommorrow, that gives me friday to bolt it all back together. Pull it out of the garage, mount the sidepipe covers and reinstall the center console.

Olde Ox WAS cool...we used to go on Tuesday's to harass the Karaoke singers. Got bounced out of there more times than not. Does anyone remember Diego's? That's going way back.
PB has cleaned up remarkably since the 80's, but never thought of it as
"upper-crust". Fun place, but Del Mar & Solana Beach are more my type of beach towns....to each his own.

P.S. - Does ANYONE in San Diego drive a convertible C3??? You guys have like 9" of rain/yr. We have 490" of rain per year and convertibles are everywhere...what's up wit dat?
Well now i'm leaving for Florida Sunday morning so I might not go, lets see.
Well, I guess you've had just about enuf of 74FLCONV, ehh? :cuss :smash: Where does he get off thrashing elegant PB like he did? Huh? Looks like Cali is bringin' a 55 gallon drum of whoop-azz to the "Least Coast".  God help the old timers in FLA! :lolg: And seein that you can't make the Cruise on Saturday, howse about lending me one of your ho's, errr, lady friends? :jester Thanks buddy!
:jester
Yeah diego's was a hoot, until it turned into a Goth, punk dance bar for 21 years olds. i miss the Daily planet and the Silver Fox. Of course Cass Street is still there. very beach attitude.
Del mar and solana beach was for yuppies who thought too much of themselves (present company excluded of course  ) is it Lahainas right on the beach, never could remember the name of that place, probably all the cheap beer I drank.
too old and too fat to hang out there anymore.

Daily Planet was a great place. That was our beginning location on Harley nite. Cass St. will ALWAYS be there.
Lahainas was/is(?) the place to get drunk before going to The Pennant.
Agreed about the yuppie scene in Del Mar/Solana, but you had to go to the right places to avoid them. Is the "Sand Bar" still in C'Bad?
Ahh...I don't really miss San Diego (too many hot, friendly women here...our ratio is opposite San Diego - 2:1 female/male), but it was nice reminiscing.

BTW - Unlike your blue-collar Navy Town, everyone (except felons & wife-beaters) in FLA is trusted/allowed to carry concealed here. Unfortunately, we do not share in the so-called "whoop-azzin" or drive-by shootings that you suffer on a daily basis.
Least Coast? San Diego's better days have long-passed.

Hate to say it but this guy has nothing nice to say about anyone. I think he is a poser.
