i finally did it.... bought a C4
it looks good, and i think it's definitely worth the money. and yes....I DO KNOW THE FRONT WHEELS ARE ON BACKWARDS!!! the guys on the C4 forum have pointed that out to me quite a few times already, but the guy said that will be corrected before i receive it.
and as of now...i have no intentions of selling the C3...it just means that now i have a car with working heat :D :hurray:
:auto:
I know it is a bit late now, but I would wonder why they updated the body (accident?) and what is under those cheap seat covers. But it does look nice. Congrats
tom...

Congrats!

let me sum it up right here: I LOVE MY C4!!
i drove it back from NY, 3 hour trip (stopped for food), had not one problem at all. i've been driving it everyday now, and haven't done a single thing to it yet. today i bought alot of goodies for it, and i will be tuning it up soon.
let me give some more info on the car. the headlights were fixed before i received the car, the wheels were put on the correct way. everything in it works, dash is clean and does not flicker, all switches work and the interior is decently clean.
the body still looks damn awesome, but i have noticed a fair amount of flaws, which i may get touched up. it also appears that this car has been hit in the rear quarter panel, because there are signs of a repair made there, and i found glass all in the car (probably from the hatch shattering).
came with a non-stock radio, but it sounds and looks good.
the car runs perfect, starts up easy, idles so nice. trans shifts decently, though not quite as well as my '79. rear end is whining, i need to change the fluid in it and add some additive, but nothing major.
overall, i couldn't be more pleased with the car, it's so much better than what i expected. i really got lucky here, buying it of off ebay and all, but the guy was a man of his word too.
let me just mention the place, NOT JUST VETTES in deer park, long island. they do alot of vette resto's, and the owner is very nice and honest.
ok, well i am tired, let me know if you have any more questions about the C4 :)
oh, one more thing...i'm selling the C3 :(
it's not that i don't like C3's now, as i still love them a hella lot, but mine is just too beat, i just want to get the money i paid for it back, and then in a few years i will definitely get another C3, hopefully BB powered.
