The A/C was not working when I bought the car, so I collected the tools needed for the job on eBay. Guages, vacuum pump, and leak detector. The low side of the hose assembly was Bubba'd with 2 hose clamps holding it on where the fitting used to be, so I assumed it to be a leaking point, especially after looking at the air intake duct with oil on it (hose was directly above).
I changed the hose and updated to R134, changed the orings and oil, also put in a new accumulator and orifice tube. I chased down one other leak and, fixed it and it's been blowing cold for over a week.
Today, after work I got in the car after it had been sitting in 85 sun and flicked on the A/C. DOH  The fan switch would move but not click nor increase the fan speed. Seems like it became dismounted. I had to reach in under the ashtray to stabilized the switch body while I moved the lever to the high position.
Just when you thought you had a system fixed WHAM! :smash: , the car shows you who is boss.
:nopity If thats the only problems you are having then you should be very happy. Let me just say that I have to keep a roll of bubba tape (read duct tape) in the car at all times.
