GROUP PURCHASE!! check it out!!
i have been approved by the mods to arrange a group purchase on the McCord power plate exhaust cut-outs. i have contacted McCord and they have agreed to offer us a substantial savings on this product, the amount of savings will be determined by how many orders we get together.
these are electronically controlled exhaust cutouts that you can control from the drivers seat with just a flip of a switch. you can go from a totally street legal exhaust setup to a uncapped exhaust similar to open headers and back again in seconds without getting out of your car. these are available for single and dual exhaust setups.

It doesn't matter if we get different sizes, right? Because I'd need two 3" cutouts. Does anyone know if these will work with Jeg's cutouts (#555-30752)? They're half the price of the FlowTech ones.

if we get 25 orders, cost will be at or less than $180 for a dual exhaust setup and at or less than $88 for a single exhaust setup, they offer sizes ranging from 2" to 3" and everything in between. i'm trying to find out if they offer anything larger than that.
if we get significantly more than 25 orders i may be able to negotiate an even lower price!

That page suggests that they will fit. It says that it will definently fit the cutouts sold by Summit, which are the same price as Jeg's ($26 each).
I hope we can find even more people! Do you think we'd get a better price with 50 people? I'm going to post a link to this page in my LiveJournal.

well, I'm officially on the list, but I won't know for certain right away. I'll spend some time disconnecting the exhaust on my vette to see how it sounds when open. If I don't like it, then I will back out of this order. I sure hope I like the sound. I LOVE the way NASCARs sound as well as other open header cars, but we all know that cam and valve lift have a LOT to do with exhaust sound. So I want to know how MY car sounds with open exhaust before I spend any money.
