Once a car hits 30 years old it's bound to have at least some modifcation. Especially a performance car. I think a better question would be to ask something like "How many cars still look stock" or how many people consider their car "restored" or "original".
If what I've seen on these boards is any indication the only thing less common that an unmodified Corvette is an unmodified Harley Davidson.
Stock?? depends on just who's parts shelf all this collection came from....
grand am rack....stock to GM....
aftermarket GM relined calipers
GM master cyl...from a truck....
GM radiator,...from a Camaro....
GM 355 engine....from an '89 truck...all roller....
GM 700r4 tranny....modified...still junk...
'68 olds tail lights....GM shelf somewhere I suppose...
front grill by aluminum welding....
HVAC controll by advanced engineering...ME....
interior driver's seating modified a LOT by ME.....
so my car is mostly stock, just not the stock parts shelf for a '72 vette....
but it mostly came from some shelf stock somewhere.....
