Show me your brackets!
Can anyone post a good pic of how the alternator brackets on a 454 are suppose to be arranged? I think I have it but they are kind of forced into place and the alternator is very very close to hitting the valve cover. I have not bought the valve covers themselves, but it is going to be close.

I know this isn't a big block but this solved all my alternator clearance problems and did not interfere with anything else, and since you already have some polished aluminum parts it would go nicely with your motor. Got them from Street & Performance.

Looks like the right mounting.
Mine cntacts the $195 polished valve covers.
I have a set of Chome ones that fit better, you can have those for $30 including the cork gaskets and send them back if you don't like the way they fit

Here's a pic, but not a very good one :( I took a bunch of pics so will be able to put everything back together again. After reviewing the pics, I'm a little nervouse!!
