Checking Vaccum
I was checking to see how much engine vaccum I have at idle and the needle on the gauge bounces about 2 to 3 pounds. What could cause this. I have read elsewhere that it could be running to rich or to lean. Hopefully that is all there is to it. I do have a slight stumble sometimes when just touching the gas while cruising at slow speed.

Re: Checking Vaccum (Eddie 70)
Hmmm. If it is indeed vacuum you're talking about that's measured in inches. Now, a flutter of 2-3 inches of vacuum is not severe, but not good. It indicates valve issues. How many miles on the motor?
Mind explaining just how you checked the vacuum and where you hooked too and ect.. is it bouncing 2-3 inches from a set value like 15 to 18 inches?

Hey Eddie,
18-20 inches of vacuum is ideal for a stock set up, but from the looks of the intake and other mods to that stove, 14-16 is pretty good. A two inch bounce wouldn't concern me.
