I am removing the e-brake cable bracket so that I can use wider tires. Anyone know where to relocate it? I've played around with the cable a little bit and it seems like it will bind up if it is mounted to the top of the trailing arm-any suggestions?
Mike, you observation agree with my memory of playing with it, and so I moved them to behind the rotor, and then moved the V chaped brackets on my '72 outboard the slanted a bit so the shroud then was relaxed in any position of the t-arm....course I did this without spring in place...duh....
just ran it up and down with car jack.....
now to be fair, others here seem to put it on top....I tried that in all sorts of postions and never found anything satisfactory.....
I also used springs tied to a large washer with hole in it, over the shock bolt, to further hold the cable shroud away from tires, extra measure for safety...
