Re: Create you own build sheet - Custom! (SanDiegoPaul)
Thanks Paul, I just bookmarked it for later viewing. BTW, my carb is acting up. The idle is surging when in gear and almost stalled on me yesterday coming back from the gym. I pulled into my carport, held the brake and observed the tach. The idle went from 800 down to 400 and every point in between. Almost stalled, too. Out of gear, idles normal. Any thoughts on what it might be?

Re: Create you own build sheet - Custom! (sd pacecar)
Does it have a throttle kicker on it to raise the idle when the A/C is on, or the other type that is just a dashpot-type device that keeps the throttle plates from snapping shut too quickly? If so then check these things. Other than that I'd check float level, replace the fuel filter, and clean out any dirt that may be in the float bowls that got past the filter.
What is the carb's history? Is it an OEM Q-Jet or an Edlebrock model?

It is the original carb and I had it rebuilt about a year ago. I let the fuel tank run way down and the pump sucked up allot of the crud at the bottom. That consquently got into the carb. I checked the filter yesterday and it was clean. It doesn't have the AC throttle kicker. Not sure about the other item you mentioned.
Re: Create you own build sheet - Custom! (SanDiegoPaul)
That's sweet, does anybody know of a website that has the prices for the options listed? I already checked out the www.idavette.net website but all they have is the options with the number of them installed.
Re: Create you own build sheet - Custom! (patsnitrovette)
Yeah - saw that site a while back.
What's really cool is that you can add your own custom options.
My 70 sticker has the (one-only) L75 '75 front end option. :lolg:
Anyone have a GOOD picture of a build sheet (tank sheet) ?
I would gladly work up a template that can be used to create your own
custom or reproduction build sheet. I have none - so I would most definitely
follow through on this.
PS - re: cost of options. I have the Richard Prince restoration guide. It lists the cost for base/options over all C3 years in the back section.

Re: Create you own build sheet - Custom! (NHvette)
NH,
I have a scan of both my Tank Sticker (whats left of it) and also the build sheet that was attached under the carpet. Both are identical. I have started fiddling with the scan to make it pretty but can forward you what I have. Files are large but I can reduce the size down to email it or can chuck it on CD as is.
Mine is for a 70 vert, 350, 4spd.
Just IM me your email and I will get it out to you.
Re: Create you own build sheet - Custom! (SanDiegoPaul)
Weird--tried to do this & they don't have Monza Red listed under the '69 as an exterior color. They've got Rally Red instead, which is dead wrong. I'm bummed!
Re: Create you own build sheet - Custom! (SanDiegoPaul)
Paul,
Thanks for the link. I printed out a "window sticker" with an "Australian Compliance @ $350" in it. I also ordered a weatherstripping kit from Davies for my 1974 coupe and will let the Forum know how long it takes to get to Australia.
