Well, need less to say I now have a lower front end. :D Come to find out the springs jumped out of the groove and need to be reset. It measured 29" before and now it's at 28". Keep in mind this is with no hood, brake booster, master cyinder, headers, carb, no water in the radiator, and no oil in the crankcase. I'd imagine after driving it and with all the parts it would drop another 1/4 inch.
Boy you guys were not lying when you said it was tight for the headers!! I put two bolts holding the driver's side up to see how it looks. Bad news is I will no longer be able to put the car on the lift after the headers and side tubes are on, the arm it them. :mad

Re: *UPDATE* #550 Springs (Corey 68)
Glad you got the springs situated. If I remember correctly, my AIM states that stock ride height for non-a/c '70 is between 27-28inches, so you're in much better shape now.
I agree it sits about right. I could cut off a little and go lower but the stock BB oil pan sits low enough, I'm afraid if I go lower I my scrape driving into my shop or a big bump in the road. Later or I plan to go with a Milodon or Morosso pan to help clearance.
