header installation
I am trying to install a pair of Summit Racing headers( I know, cheap) on my 79 and wanted to know if it is necesary to remove the engine or tilt it. I am working on the driver side and it looks like I have to remove the brake booster. The car has A/C and all of the other options. Thanks for the help.

My Hooker Competition headers came with very accurate instructions of what to remove to fit the headers in. I managed to do it without following every step in the instructions. All I had to remove were the spark plugs & wires and the clutch linkage. I don't have air conditioning. The biggest challenge in the whole job was the removal and reinstallation of the clutch linkage.
As mrvette said you have to install headers from the bottom up.

Both sets of headers on my small block came in and out easily from the bottom....two differant styles....both sides....
