fuel pump
what are the symptoms of a fuel pump that is on its way out? my car has been really studdering when i give it gas. it almost feels like it's jumping. is that a faulty fuel pump or something else? thanks!

Before you blame the pump check the filter. It's easy to forget about and can make a huge differance. I like to run fuel system cleaner through right after changing the filter to get any accumulated gunk out.
That's something a lot of people don't think of when using fuel system cleaners is that they could be pumping gunk out of the filter and into the engine :eek:
If you notice no change I'd then check for vaccuum leaks (damaged hoses or ones that have fallen off are easy to miss) and THEN start thinking about shelling out money for a pump.
