Hello!
Today I was replacing my fuel pump and I noticed that the metal fuel line was bent up at about a 45 degree angle. I was also replacing the S shaped rubber fuel line to the pump and it wouldnt reach unless the end of the metal fuel line was closer to the frame, so stupid me, I tried to slowly bend the line back down. I immediatly noticed fuel oozing out where the metal fuel line is mounted to the frame :mad . So, Is there any way to patch the line? I was thinking of just cutting it off at the mount and running a rubber line to the S hose.
Any suggestions?
IMO, I would minimize the use/length of rubber fuel line if it were mine. Only 5-7 psi but if that hose gets rubbed, cut, burnt or old and cracked ...bad news. Pop for a new line from Eckler's and put an end to it.
