Does anyone recognize the name E.H. Lawton (or possibly Larston/Lauton) and a connection the the Corvette hobby? I have acquired three items with this signature on them but do not have any information as to his connection to them. The items pertain to 1978 Silver Anniversary and the years 1965/66/67. His signature and dates are inscribed. Hope someone can provide some info for me......
Thanks, Ron

In my quest to find out who signed a set of 25th Anniversary Highball glasses, this is what I found.
EH Lawton or Edward Lawton founded a company Collectors Glassware that produced automotive specialty glassware; mugs, drinking glasses etc. Here is some information from his obituary.
"[Edward Lawton] served in the U. S. Army as a Specialist in the Training Aids Division, studied art at the Art Institute of Pittsburg and Bowling Green State University, and product and automotive design at the prestigious Art Center College of Los Angeles.
He began working for Owens-Illinois in 1958 and continued with them for 30 years as their Technical Illustrator in the Patent and Legal Department. After leaving OI he continued that work for attorneys throughout the Midwest until the day he became ill in 2005. He combined his talent for art and his passion for transportation by founding Collectors Glassware, which he and his wife ran for 28 years, selling his perspective view drawings of many types of cars, motorcycles, and transportation items to the wholesale gift market. He collected many cars and enjoyed restoring them."
