im confused...
my trany is plainly marked Borg Warner...
i have been told (on here) that it is a T-10...
all of the spec sheets i have seen for my cars available tranys say it came with an M-21...
what the heck is it???
It is a Borg Warner T-10. Most people generally with use the M-20, M-21, M-22 to refer to Muncies trans even though GM use the M-21 RPO code to denote later Borg Warner T-10s.

:iagree:
Its both - Borg Warner desginates the transmission as the T-10 or Super T-10 however GM's rpo (regular production option) code is M21.
GM wouldnt refer to the transmission in the manufacturers code but apply their own rpo code...Note - the muncie codes were the same because they were a GM product - at least so Ive been told.
Super T-10. Great transmission (much better than a Muncie or Saginaw, IMHO), and can take a bunch of abuse. Only transmission that's better is the Top-Loader Ford. Wish I had it in mine instead of the M20...
