I called around to find someone that whould be willing to put a 3" custom system on the Vette, and Midas right down the street said he would be able to do it.He mentioned they carried Raven mufflers(which I never heard of) and recommended them.Midas has sound files on their website and the intro sounds sweet.
Just wondering if any of you have tried them, and what are your opinions.

I looked at them and they seem to be a good muffler but they were more expensive than the flows so that mad it an easy choice. Plus I do not trust Midas working on my car

Ravin's sound good, but they are expensive...
I however had a great experience when I had some work done at Midas. I had an exhaust leak I needed fixed, they said it would cost $150. Then a 2-3 hour job turned into an 8 hour job as manifold bolts kept breaking, etc. When it was all done, no more leak and they had fixed broken hangers and got my exhaust to stop dragging. Two things I didn't ask them to fix. Total cost $154.00
If that shop wasn't a 7 hour drive away, they'd be the ones doing my custom exhaust :yesnod:
Re: Anyone using Raven mufflers? What do you think? (The Money Pit)
I put a Ravin muffler on my truck and (2) on my vette.
The truck was first. I liked them so I put them on my Vette.
I love the sound. Nice sound when you step on it without the resonance some people have complained about. They come in (3) sizes, I think 13", 15", & 17". I went with the 15" and ran 2 1/2" pipes. The tech said he thought the 13"s would be too loud. I've had a lot of positive comments about the sound of my car.
As for dealing with Midas, it depends on the technician. Does he have the experience to do custom work. I have several Midas shops in my area, so I choose the one I thought had the best tech.
