972 = Polar White. STD ="standard" black vinyl interior. L15 is the body build date code. Don't have all my books here, but A=first month of 68 production, B=second month, etc. 15 is the day of the month. Not sure which production month "L" translates to. Hopefully, somebody else with access to better info can chime in on this part. Chuck
