Shock Question

On the C3's, the front shocks mount on the lower control arm. Does the bottom of the shock bolt in or screw in?

Two half inch bolts retain the flange on the bottom of the shock.

Do these bolts have a tapered tip? Mine have a 1/2" hex head with a flange and the bolt comes to a point. Does this sound correct?

I just purchased a front shock mount kit from Dr. Rebuild and the ones I got from them are tappered to a point. Lock washers also came with this kit which of course were missing from mine.

Sounds right to me. I put mine in a couple months ago just like that.

Made a heck of a difference too. I guess the old owner neglected them since they looked about 10-15 years old.
