Fuel Issues
Due to the bitter winter we had on the east coast my vette sat all winter withabout a half tank of fuel .I drove the car last weekend and it ran great then started to nosedive like it was starving for fuel .after closer inspection today found acracked dist cap and replaced .Also reset timing and adjusted q jet with vacuum gauge .Car ran better but started nosediving again .Limped home and removed fuel filter .{inline} filter at lineof q jet removed years ago .Previos owner replaced tank about 8 years ago as per receipts .I cut metal inline filter in half and found some real crappy looking stuff0.Replaced with clear filter and now fuel appears clear {ran for ten minutes } ran out of time .Whew now for my question I promised a very responsible 18 year old he could drive the vette to his prom if he kept his grades up.Last weekend he showed me his report card with a3.8 do you think the problem is solved .
