What should I look for
I purchased a 78 last week from the original owners with 21K miles on it. Low miles but it is still a 25 year old car. It runs and drives like a million bucks. Just looking for suggestions on parts, lines, etc to inspect/replace for peace of mind. To date I have not found much, changed oil and filter, air filter, replaced the rubber gas lines from the frame to the fuel pump. Future plans call for plugs, grease front end, check all u-joints. There are no leaks, or seepage that I can see anywhere. The owner recently replaced radiator hoses and coolant. Original tires, exhaust, the tires look like new, not a bit of weather checking on them. Also should I use a silicone on weatherstripping?
