Default Surgery was successful

See my other post about my left wheel bearing going out

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=552426

The shop finished the replacement today. They are just across the street from my office, so I went over there several times to watch the action.

Getting the old bearing out was VERY difficult but it finally came out OK.

New bearing, two new u-joints, and new brake pads in rear installed.

What an improvement. Car drives great.

Will have right bearing done within month. I can only have the car down during the day, as it is my only transportation without a car rental. But, once the right bearing done, I have essentially replaced, rebuilt, restored, whatever from the front to the rear.

Finished? Doubt it, its a Vette.

Maybe now time to break the motor open and work on the insides!

Hey Larry.
Glad to hear they fixed it ok for you. Hopefully the rest of your vette stays together long enough to enjoy it  :seeya

Didn't you replace the stock engine with an LM-1 not that long ago?

Believe it or not, about 90K miles ago. Since I drive 21K miles a year, time passes fast.
