Well guys, I took vettefixr's advice. I used what I could find locally. I bought an orbital buffer at Sears on sale. I used Meguire's #9 initially, followed by #7. I haven't even waxed it yet, and WOW, it took my car from a 20-footer to a very, very nice 10 footer. I really couldn't have asked for more. Seriously, it looks like a different car and it wasn't all that hard. I will say that I think I should have compounded first. I still have some scratches that I think could have been removed with a little more aggressive treatment. Overall, however, I"m very satisfied. I just wish I could get all the hazing out of my chrome bumpers now....

I'm glad it worked well for you. If you have a few scratches that you want to remove just get some 3M Fine cut compound and do them by hand followed by the #9 and #7 in the spots you work. The 3M is a very gentle compound but don't go overboard with it because if your paint is thin it can go through to the primer, so use caution.
