Re: Starting car for the first time after storage (Roscoe's C3's)
:iagree:
You may also want to check battery voltage and trickle charge before turning the motor over. If you used some type of gasoline stabilizer last fall it should start right up.
Re: Starting car for the first time after storage (Frank75)
Make sure to set up two targets behind the car so you can see about hitting them dead on with any mice in the tailpipes.... :D :D :jester
you may want to pour a gallon of paint store Xylene into the tank with the old gasoline, give it something to burn....
obviously do check out any rubber plumbing, both gas and vacuum....
charge or replace the battery, allmost bet it's dead....
before starting give it a few turns with ignition defeated to see if carb fills up and the accelerator pump puts out a nice spurt....if it does...give it a go....
if the carb starts dumping fuel because float is messed up....just give it a wach with a rubber hammer of some sort...maybe the hammer handle....not trying to break the damn thing, just loosten up the floats, seats a bit....
