weld or clamp?
just got the MAD chambered system today after bothering everyone with questions for the last year, I'm planning to rebuild the engine and tranny and suspension within a year or so, should I just clamp the system in for now or weld?

Originally, I clamped mine up, but the engine rumbles so much that it would rattle the clamps loose. Now that it is all welded up, I've had to cut it back off to paint the frame and do other things. I am putting on new headers and will probably redo the whole exhaust..... :banghead:

i had new exhaust put on last year, and just had the guy clamp it on, because i knew i'd be changing it. i've done took the mufflers off and threw some monza tips on. so when i had that done, i had the exhaust welded on since i knew i was going to be keeping it like that. now to install some headers and i'll be ready to go :yesnod:

Well, I just finished rebuilding my rear end. To do that, I had to cut out and replace the welded exhaust. So, how's your rear end (the car that is)? If you're doing rear end work, I'd clamp it. You can always tighten the clamps but once it's welded...... :crazy: :smash:
