posting pictures
1st of all you have to have the images on the net somewhere, either in your Corvetteforum webspace or on one of the many hosting site available.
I find the easiest way is to create your new post, then....
>open a new browser window (ctrl-N) and browse to the picture on the web.
>Right click on the picture -
>select properties - copy the url for the picture -
>in your post (either before you select post, or while editing) click on the 'image' button.
>At the bottom of your reply/edit window the following "[IMG][/IMG]" will appear....
>paste the url between the ][ in the middle
>select post
>you are done
IF you have an ISP (as opposed to getting online from the library or something) they usually provide you with space to create a website. If they do, upload your picture to the space they provide you (your ISP will give you directions to do that, since it's different for every one), and then you can put a link to it. So, basically...
Find out if your ISP lets you create webpages. If they do,
Upload the picture to your space.
Then, put a link to it here. You can click the Image button to put the tags in. The link will look something like: http://www.mindspring.com/~yourusern...geiscalled.jpg
That is, of course, assuming you're using mindspring. Your ISP will tell you the address of the space, and you'd just put the name of the file at the end of it.
If that doesn't work for you, there are several places that host pictures for people, just do a search for something like Image Hosting. Some of them will charge you, some of them will host your pictures for 30 days or something like that before they start charging you. They'll give you a link to your picture that you can put between the image tags.
