If the car sqeaks over bumps and tries to change lanes by itself, especially when you accelerate, it will need trailing arm bushings and possibly front upper and lower control arms, balljoints and tie rod ends. I've been told on good authority from more than one experienced Vette owner that the lane change behavoir is a symptom of problems with the T-arms.
Check pulley clearances (esp P/S) could indicate sagging motor mounts. Rear end howl at hwy speed would indicate worn ring and pinion.

When you test drive dont forget to jump on the gas, if anything breaks you want it to break before you buy. Plus, its allot easier to find things that are wrong when your doing 140mph. :D
