Well maybe.... There is this women that owns it. Her Husband kicked it out of the garage and put a cover on it, and pulled his 98 Z28 into the garage. The 454 does not run, it is a numbers matching car. As far as I know it is stock. 85,000 + on the clock. She may sell it. She said she wants to wait till her mechanic can come and tell her what is wrong with the engine. She said he is covered up with work so it may be late in the summer. I asked what she would take for the car in it current state she replied close to $10,000 maybe a little less if the motor is really screwed she might keep it if the motor won't cost too much to fix. I told her "Hey just let me know first we can probably make a deal". I intentionally did not get excited. Well at least not in front of her  . I am not in the position to buy it right at the moment anyhow so I am glad she is not ready to part with it yet. I will try to go back and take my camera and get some pics. The car will need some minor work but Hey GM only made like 6,600 verts in 70. I will keep everyone posted on this one. If for some reason (which I can't think of one)I cannot get it when she is ready to let go I will pass it on to the forum.
Re: 1970 BB Vert w/4 spd found me :) (BeachinVette)
Bob,
That sounds like a potentially sweet deal!!!! Just what you were looking for. If you end up getting it and need a hand with anything (picking it up, etc.) let me know!
Re: 1970 BB Vert w/4 spd found me :) (BeachinVette)
BeachinVette, I was planning a trip to florida, If you are not interesded I would be more than happy to pay you a $500 finders fee. I am ready to move upto the BB. The garage that worked on my 75 is willing to buy it from me for $6,000 plus a credit of $800 towards labour on any of my other cars.
