FLOWMASTER ? ON 80 VETTE
i was thinking of adding on my vette ,but as you all know running the the pipe tot he rear looks like it will be a very custum job. if anyone has pics please post them. i would like to use the rear stock muffler hangers . to hook up the muffles i have header some where , the last time i had the headers on itlooked like i would have to heat and bend the headers to clear the floor and trans x member.

Maybe it's something other than your mufflers causing it. Is your AIR system functional? I've heard of failed air diverter valves causing a popping exhaust sound.!?! Maybe raw gas is somehow reaching the exhaust during decelleration!?! I dunno.
i dont have an AIR pump or any other type of smog stuff on my car...
it has been stripped of all of it and is set up like the "good ol days" and EVERYTHING under my hood is brand new except for the block...
if it isnt the flowmasters...i would LOVE to find out what it is...i hate it...
it is kind of a backfiring sound that i assume all engines do except the mufflers are suppose to quiet it...
dont get me wrong, it isnt a terrible backfiring and it dosnt do it the whole time the engine is winding down, just at a cetain point in the deceleration...
otherwise the engine runs flawlessly and i love it! :yesnod:
