What is wrong with this picture?

So have a look at what we had to do to drive a Vette here in OZ
There was an American called Jim out here for our National Convention over Easter. He said we were the most dedicated Corvette owners he knew because we have to pay for our cars 3 times over to drive them!
Buy the car.
Ship and pay duties.
Convert to RHD.
He's right!
Sorry Folks Due to technical difficulties I have been unable to show the picture here.
Link directly to the picture I wanted to show is: http://www.chevcarclubvic.org.au/vic...8_interior.jpg
or to a set of pictures is: http://www.chevcarclubvic.org.au/vic...eature_car.htm
Can anyone tell me why I cannot show the picture here?
Is it because the string is too long?
And any time I try to use help it comes up with Error! Invalid help topic (close)

I see you even had to put a passenger's side mirror on ... er... driver's side mirror ... er... ouch, my head hurts
Don't know why you can't post the pic. I'll give it a shot...

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
If you look at the list, 51 of the are island nations (some with populations as small as a few hundred), 13 are in Africa (former British rule), and 2 are on the Indian border. The major areas are UK/Ireland, Australia/NZ, Japan, Inda/Pakistan.
Guess I should have said that there are few auto producing countries that still use RHD. :)

i lived in japan for a year courtesy of our uncle and never could get used to the driving on the wrong side. fortunately, all the vehicles i did drive were imported from the U.S. ;) still don't think i could shift with my (worthless) left hand. :skep:

Holden is going great guns. Apart from being chosen as the model for all GM companies due to our effiencies, the Holden Monaro is now being sold to the US as a Pontiac GTO and to Saudi as a Chevy Lumina SS.
So we can produce LHD and RHD.
The Mercury Capri was also made in OZ but it was a piece of @#$%

shouldn't the center name plate read ettevroC
Actually it's not that hard driving on the left, but after spending over a year in the Caymans I came back and had a hard time adjusting to driving back on the right, kept pulling out into the wrong lane. I got plenty of complimentary hand signals the first week or so :jester
You've got it wrong, we drive on the RIGHT side of the car, it's you guys who've got it wrong!. I'll explain it in more detail at Flagstaff on June 22, but it might take a beer or two. Make sure you.ve got a designated driver to get you home.

Sorry about the long lead time on the reply, I have been "off Forum".
Are you asking about the console only or the full conversion?
I did the full conversion myself including fabricating the pedal box, Rack mount, Heater and demist inversion, 5 speed and console. the instruments(speedo,Tach) are cut out of the dash and a similar piece is removed from the passenger side. They are then swapped and then glassed back in and recovered.
Most conversions use a mirror image firewall and the original pedalbox but I wanted a flat firewall for room for the BB.
Oh yeah, I also rewired the full loom to suit.
The console started out as a standard piece and I cut out the shift plate to make way for the shifter . Manufactured a new shift plate for the left side with the 5 Sp pattern. Swapped the heater and Ashtray over as the lid of the ashtray would now slide into the shifter. Used a low temp alloy for welding the pot metal and had eveything rechromed and painted to finish it off.
Hope thats the info you are after!
There are more pictures on the link (see the original post) you can send to your Irish buddies
