Vaccum problems for headlights/trans on intake?
I got my vacuum for my headlight acuators and transmission vacuum running on the same #7 runner on the intake. it causes it to run lean and miss when i first start the car. where else can you run these vacuum lines and get sufficient enough vacuum to operate the headlights and shift gears for the automatic transmission???

If you're running a Rochester Q-Jet, then you should be able to run vacuum off of the middle rear port at base of the carb., believe that's source of vacuum for power brakes.

oops, screwed up. my vac runs from the #7 runner too. no probs.

My transmission runs off of the intake as well (just behind the carb). The headlights are run through a smaller line at the same spot (off memory, I would have to look again to be sure), but that line runs into a collector "can".
