need advice on Mufflers
When the engine is done it will be a 454 with 500+ HP.
I don't think the stock mufflers will do it justice, but I don't want a really loud exhaust. I think a 3" exhaust is required.
What mufflers are free flowing, but as quiet, or nearly as quiet as stock?

Flowmaster 50s are relatively quiet at idle and cruise - but you can hear them when you get on it. I think it's a nice compromise, because you don't have an obnoxious loud drone at highway speed. They have a very distinctive sound. I heard a Charger with 440/6pak at a car show and it sounded remarkably like my vette.... same mufflers! :lol: MJ

I have Borlas and like them just fine. They are not too loud, but you know something is there. :)

I've got Flow 40s now. I ordered 2 Dynomax Race Bullets last week. They should be in today. Gonna have em put on 2morro after work. Shoot me an email and I'll send you a short video w/sound of the new muffs.
