Default adjustible strut rod question

Ordered adjustible strut rods for 69. Each rod has an "L " and "R" stamped on it. The instructions don't mention these markings. I'm confused. Does the "R" go towards the right rear wheel and the "L" go towards differential and visa versa for the other side? Thanks in advance.

Put the link bracket on the floor. the ends of the struts that have the square pieces of metal in them go into the bracket. from that, you should be able to tell which one goes on which side.

If I remember correctly, they are completely symmetric, aren't they? I think the "L" and "R" just indicate left and right-handed threads, so you know how to loosen and tighten the jam nuts.
