Thanks again for all your compliments guys! Now to try and write a decent tech article on the resto. for GroovyJay and the '79 Registry.... That and drive her in the midnight sun! :D
If anyone has any questions about my project, feel free to ask!
Totally Awesome   I'm just starting on mine and sure I will have a ton of questions. I have all my interior out of my 81 right now and changing colors from cinnabar to black. I'm going the new seat cover route because of the harsh wear factor and afraid the dye just wouldn't hold up. But for the door pannels I'm going to try the dye because I have just had them recovered. Can you tell me what type of paint you used on your steering colum? I'm going to be pulling mine and painting it soon and not real sure what to use on it. Great job and thanks for sharing with us!
Ybnormal: Thanks! Shoot any Q's my way as they come up (and they will!). I didn't paint the column, I just cleaned it up with some Simple Green and it looked good enough as it was.... As for the seats I got the leather mounted seat cusions, much easier install and I got new foam too!
wcinx: I was in the CND$5k plus zone for parts and consumables (paint/dye, cleaners, adhesives and removers....)
