Well I'm getting antsy because I can't go drag racing until I change my leaf spring. If you recall my stock 9 leaf rear spring wasn't strong enough and my rear suspension was going solid during launch. That caused some crazy bouncing and my halfshafts are going over center.
I have decided to go with the 420lb composite spring from Eckler's for $300.
What kind of weight savings can I expect by changing from a steel 9 leaf spring to a composite rear spring?
Once I get the spring, I'm going to lean out my motor a little more (still a little too rich) and take the 'Vette back to the track in hopes of an 11 second pass. Thanks

Thanks. That's .05 of a second down the 1/4 ;) . My car just bounces like crazy coming off of the line because of my weak rear spring. I didn't see much sense in going with a steel 7 leaf spring.
P.S. I was being serious about the .05 of a second thing. I've won races by .01-.05 of second in heads up races. So I guess that's how I justify spending $200 more for the composite spring.
