Does anyone know where to get replacement light sockets for the gauge lights?
Several of mine have had the metal clip part pull out of the plastic and now wont stay together.........or a glue that will hold the metal to this type plastic. Ive tried epoxy but it doesnt stick to the plactic.
You don't mention what year your car is. On my '80 I was able to go down to Pep Boys and buy the sockets from the Do-it-yourself shelf. Only cost a buck or so apiece. While I had my dash apart, I replaced all the sockets, and also all the bulbs. Don't want to tear into that beast twice!!
Mine did the same thing on my '69 when I opened everything up :mad
I found some replacements at AutoZone or Advance Auto, don't remember which. As I recall, they were a different color than original (maybe black instead of gray?), but they worked just fine. As mentioned, do yourself a favor and replace all of them while you're in there, as well as the bulbs!
