I am missing the part in the column that the hazard button screws on to , i think it was left out after a repair when someone tried to steal the car. I have looked at the corvettefaqs information but the diagram doesn't show a very good picture of what is missing. Is there place that has a good picture of the columns internal parts. :seeya
On the 1969 through 1976 T&T column the hazard warning **** screws into a thin stamping that connects to the bottom of the turn signal switch and extends down past the hole in the side of the housing.
If you go to http://www.corvettefaq.com and look under Steering. There is a Tilt & Telescoping Column 69-82 Blowup Pic that you can download.
The part you want is #11. It is mislabeled as "Hazard Bearing Race". It is a thin stamping about 2 or 3 inches long. It is real easy to forget to install this piece when you rebuild the steering column. (Don't ask me how I know.)
Thanks Jim i called columnsgalore and they knew exactly what i was talking about, and he will get back to me tomorrow if he has one and how much. Thanks again. Dave :hurray:
