Default Beginning digital gauge installation

Well day one saw the dash taken out and all of the original instruments removed (speedo,Tach,Temp, ampmeter, oil pressure, clock and fuel).Im installing Nordskog individual digital gauges,It looks like the instruments in the center section are going to fit in the existing holes,The headlight warning and door ajar light are going to have to be siliconed in place and a metal cap with a hole in it will be fashioned and put on the back of the thing so that a bulb can be installed. The speedometer and tach holes will utilize the existing trim with the glass removed so that the buttons on the new speedometer can be accessed.A metal plate that is big enough to cover the back of the trim will be fastened on and holes for the 3 3/8" gauges will be cut so that they can be mounted, also I salvaged the bright light and brake light plastic pieces and they will have a hole cut for them in the metal plate and a metal back with a hole for the bulbs put on them.As Dennis Miller says"I could be wrong but thats just me". If anyone is interested in this project I will update my progress daily.

Sounds like you have a hold on it. I'd love to see pics. I'm installing Autometer Ultra-lites and having to make a plate to lay over the old mounting area. I should post pics too. I want to see when you are done!!
