side window problems
About to take apart the drivers side window as it moves in and out a few inches when the door is open. Seems to go up and down real well but when the window is fully extended it is really loose. Can't believe it would be the window bumpers unless they are completely missing. Any suggestions on what to look for or what the culprit may be.

Sounds like the 2 glass pads are completely loose or missing. Do the job soon, cause running the window up and down without them will scratch the glass.

Lots of possible causes. Plan on rebuilding the whole thing to make sure. Mine was caused by a missing front track roller. You couldn't roll the window up without pushing it out. Works great now. Zip has the parts and instructions, though I found them not to have included one of the rollers. http://home.attbi.com/~jchadwick/win...or_rebuild.htm for a link and a reference for the missing part.
