I have 17's from a 1996 Corvette on my 1980. They are 17x8.5 fronts with 255/45/17's and 17x9.5 rears with 285/40/17's. The tires are really nice, but the very low sidewall does not fill the wheel well very well and gives an odd appearance. The use of these wheels requires adapters that I purchased from Vette Brakes and Parts.
I will be going to 255/50/17's and 275/50/17's when I need new tires.
