Paint Schemes
i've been looking at doing something a little different with my 79
would it look good to paint the cowl on the hood black, or paint stripes coming out of the heat vents on the side of the car
does anyone have any pics of cars with painted cowls?

I put a modified red Grand Sport stripe on mine. See it at http://www.tilt-a-vet.com
Thought about the stripes on the side like a CE-82, but really didn't end up doing that. Good luck. :cool:

There's a whte C3 near by that I see once in a while with maroon stripes out the side vents. Looks kind of cheesy to me. :leaving:

I love the 82 CE side stripes, the fade effect is just awsome, though it could have been a better fade effect. However the problem running there is the use of neutral colors, you have to stick with the neutral colors to keep a clean look. heck even reverse the color scheme on the 82 Ce "black paint with silver accent stripe" it just would not look as good. Oddly enough I think the single racing stripe look is just great on a corvette. I am thinking of doing a light ghost metallic silver racing stripe on a black paint job.

:withstupid: glutamine i think he has a good point, if you stick with the neutral colors it would look good. I vote for the black hood scoop, not red. I don't think the red interior has anyhting to do wiht it, no one knows you have red interior when you drive by but they would know you have a stupid clown stripe.
