argh! I had to re-Bubbatize my 79. If you've seen some of my other threads on the subject, you know I have a Bubba expansion tank that wasn't even hooked up. I have a correct replacement enroute from Zip. I realized last night after reading the rules that I can't run in the Eckler's Corvette Challenge SATURDAY unless I have an operative tank. I had to go buy a cheap generic one and install it until the correct one gets here.
The old Bubba tank connects through the cap and the tube was missing. Rather than try to Bubba-fix an existing Bubba tank (what would you call THAT contraption?), I opted for a Bubba tank with a built-in nipple and new hose. I hate fixing stuff twice! :smash: :banghead:

Re: I had to re-BUBBA! (isosceles)
:iagree: I think your priorities are good isosceles. You'll have much more fun at the corvette challenge than waiting for a plastic bottle by mail.
Post your 1/4 times for the garage limited rest of us to gawk at please.
Larry obviously has a great sense of humour! I am curious: what in the Eckler's rules makes an overflow tank obligatory? This is not a safety issue. You could run a hose from the top of the rad into a plastic milk carton to catch the displaced coolant if it is a environmental issue. Bubba can be ingenious at times.
