For those of you whom have complained about non-waving Vette owners, I suggest this: Move to the great state of MARYLAND. For those whom might not know where this state is , it is located within the mid-atlantic portion of our nation (NORTH AMERICA).
I took the Vette for a drive today, after a month of every day rain. I was WAVED at by every C4-C5 and anyone who had their car out this day, from Desoto's to El Camino's, the high five was there before I could re-act. But for the most part all (waves) were returned with a smile and a lot of pride.
So, to all the no-return waver complainer's here-----------MOVE EAST!!!!!!!!!
Don't get too many waves from c4's or c5's here. People come up to me at work (I work at a drive through) and talk to me about it all the time. I always get waves from c3 drivers. Haven't driven by any c1's or c2's, though I've seen them parked. One C5 driver must have just gotten his 'vette, he was a bit giddy. He was too far away to wave, so he flashed his foglights. Then he proceeded to folow me around town for a while, revving his engine up beside me. But I don't think it was a "I want to race" type of engine-reving. I make it a point to wave to every 'vette owner, but unfortunately I haven't been waved back to that often. :(
I agree that C4 and C5 vette owners around the Triangle don't understand the wave. I had the 69 out today (what an awesome day!) and passed 3 C5's and 2 C4's. Of those 5 only one of the C4's waved.
I did notice that I get more waves from C4 and C5 owners when I drive the 98. Is it possible that most of the C4 and particularly C5 owners don't know a C3 and earlier vette when they see one???
