Rear wheel movement limits?
My '76 has new bearings in the rear end. Today However I put it up in the air and checked all four wheels with the good ol' 12:00 and 6:00 'rock' to check for play. Front wheel bearings tight ... but the rear wheels move a good quarter inch or so in and out with my hands in the above position.
The movement is not in the wheel bearings. Is this movement normal?

Re: Rear wheel movement limits? (SharkAttack)
No I have no idea if they have been done or not. I do Intend to get the rear end rebuilt after the home refi goes thru ... but for now all it has is new hub bearings. The movement at the top is in and out, such as camber change, not left and right such as a toe change.
The yokes should have little or no in and out movement. The ends are worn which is very common on later C-3's. Get some re manufactured ones with the hardened button. Better than New! With worn yokes the camber cannot be controlled.
