Luggage RACK???????
Hey guys this 1976 Vette has a luggage rack which I hate....
What would it cost to remove it and fill in the holes and paint that
section??? Anyone ever removed one, what did it cost?????

i have a 77 that im currently doing the same thing to . this is what i do for a living (i own a body shop ) its quit a bit of work the way im doing it i pulled the rear bumper & GAS TANK OUT so i could get to both sides i guess i could have just done the top surface & got away with it but this way the repair will be alot stronger. not only that i frenched the antannae in the lt quarter so i had to pull these things out anyways. thats not to mention the paint!! but to me its well worth it i hate the luggage rack look also!!!!

A bit of advice Gents: after you take them off, sell them in the parts section, no matter what shape they're in, sumbudy wants it! I went to a stainless one and had no problem sellin the old one here...... :D

While I can't help you with the cost estimate for this job, I can show you some pics I took when I removed the rack from my 77 recently. I hope this helps a little.
