Default Finally Pulled the Engine - Now selection time for the new...

Well boys and girls... I did it.. got out the busted up 350 (I will post the standard picture at a later date maybe show you the blown rod too)...
But more importantly now I need to figure out what I want to put back in...
Two Questions...

Will the GM Crate RAM Jet 350 fit under the stock hood of a 75?
How do I contact AR Racing? Do they have a website I can look over?
Whats everyones experience with them (Lotta talk bout em out there on the forum)?
Open to recommendations just dont throw me the 10k engine curve ball... lets keep the price low and respectable (~3k-ish)...

So I got rained on a bunch during the pull. Off and on but pretty heavy but those of you from jerz know what I am talking about. What do you think did I get blessed or is it a bad omen?

So I lied it was way more than two questions... but wtf its my post!

An early THANK YOU to all because I am sure I will get the knowledge thrown to me...

I was wondering about that Ram Jet motor, too. Sounds like an ideal way to plug and play.
I am going to rebuild the original motor in mine (spun rod bearing, too). That way the value stays the same. Nobody cares what is inside the motor, as long as the block numbers match. I hope to get done for well under 3 grand, including vortec heads from scoggin-dickey.
Good luck whichever way you go.
Joe

Spook,

If you want to contact Mark at AR Racing here is his e-mail address:

arracingunl@***.net (Mark Lim)

I believe they offer some mild(350HP) long blocks if that is what you are looking for in the $1500-$1800 range and all kinds of wild contraptions if you want HP. I own one of their 355/427HP Dart head engines that cost me $2495. I don't think they offer it anymore. I haven't fired it up as yet as I am having problems with things in general with this transformation to a complete new set-up. The latest? I stuck the hood down again and lost interest.

AR Racing is always selling engines on Ebay. Here's the email address auto-restorations@erols.com
Here's their phone number 540-439-1961 for tech or info. I'm also currently looking at them for a 383 stroker for my 72, but I would contact them direct for a build.
Good Luck
Eddie

One of these is currently listed by AR for sale on Ebay.

Eckler's still offers a raised hood with something like 4 5/8" of clearance.
