REAREND GEARS

Hello ALL.... I need alittle information help.. Is there anyone who can tell me what the stock rearend gears are for a 1975 Corvette .L-48 4sp. Conv.

Not sure off hand what the options were in that year. If yur tach and speedo work you can use a this calculator linked below to determine yur ratio. Take a test drive to collect data. 4th gear would be 1 for the entry in that trans ratio block. Then you need to measure yur rear tire diameter to enter as well. From the test drive collect data for rpm in 4th at a givin speed. enter those numbers in thier perspective blocks and select solve for gear ratio. Hit calculate and it will spit the result. it probably wont return with a ratio that exactly matches one of the available ratios, but it should be close to one of them which should tip you off to the answer. Common ratios wouls be 3.08, 3.36, 3.55, 3.70.

Jack up the rear end and count how many times the driveshaft turns in relation to the wheel.

THE RATIOS OFFERED WERE 3.08, 3.36, 3.55 & 3.70 WITH A 4-SPEED TRANS
