Need some expertise w/vacuum (?) problem PLEEZ............
Pulling a solid & smooth 17" at idle in Park or Neutral......When shifting into R or D, vacuum turns to squat, and motor runs like its hittin' on abt 6 cylinders, I suspect vacuum line from intake to tranny is faulty? Correct? As usual, thanx in advance for any and all helpful replies....... :D

Wow! Sounds like a major vacuum leak from here in California. :lolg: Just disconnect and plug vacuum lines one at a time. ;)

I think you have your answer. There is a vacuum line and as I recall (been awhile since I messed with an auto tranny, so don't hold me to this) also a vacuum-powered kick-down switch or "passing gear" at the tranny... check all your lines, then that switch.
