manual trans conversion
During a recent conversation with a friend, he said don’t you wish that your 69 was a manual, and yes he is correct which got me thinking, how brutal is a conversion to a manual trans? If anyone has had any experience with this in terms of labor and costs your insights would be welcome. My car is not a numbers matching all original garage queen, so I’m not concerned with that stuff, just concerned that this may prove to be a horror show that one should stay away from.
On another topic, I was considering replacing my currant daily driver (I won’t mention what it is for fear of being banned from the forum) with a second Corvette. I’ve looked at a couple of C4’s, but what blows me away is the price of these things being so reasonable. One guy told me that there is very little interest in that model Corvette; hence the prices are still reasonable. I personally like that body style, but is there something inherently wrong with these cars that I don’t know about? Would it be more appropriate to ask this question in the C4 forum?
