On my wifes 79 someone replaced the hood and didn't bother to re-install the L-82 emblems. Does anyone know how far from the the windshield end of the hood the emblems should begin? In the assembly manual it shows the elevation of the holes. It also shows a zero line dimension, but I don't know what point they are referencing. In the dimension baloon is says 4.40 SV. Is that from the edge of the hood forward four inches and 400 thousandths? 4.40 seems to be right, from the back edge of the hood to the center of the last pin hole but I believe that puts the emblems right over the underhood re-enforcement panel.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Update:
So far only one answer any other opinions ??????????? I like to get an answer on the drawing in the assembly manual. Our company engineer looked at it and couldn't figure it out either.
